Before installing macOS, you should properly configure your UEFI to ensure maximum compatibility. Boot into the UEFI setup wizard, and Load Optimized Defaults (under the Save & Exit tab). Then use the following settings:

Recommended UEFI Configuration

  • M.I.T.
    • Advanced Frequency Settings
      • CPU/PCIe Base Clock: 100.00 MHz
      • Extreme Memory Profile (X.M.P): Profile 1 (if available)
      • Advanced CPU Core Features
        • Internal CPU PLL Overvoltage: Disabled
  • BIOS Features
    • Windows 8 Features: Windows 8
    • Secure Boot: Disabled
  • Peripherals
    • SATA Mode Selection: AHCI
    • xHCI Mode: Enabled
    • Internal Graphics: Enabled
    • Internal Graphics Memory Size: 32M
    • xHCI Hand-off: Enabled
