T2 Project Plan

What do you think? I have a framework of ideas on what to do and possible tests.

I already tested on my MacBook Pro 2020 4 thunderbolt 3 ports to boot via OpenCorePkg and only 1 issue is left: when spoofing the SMBIOS, formatting a partition as APFS fails while the OS boots just fine; a very similar issue to unsupported T2 Macs. At this point I'm almost done with supported T2 Macs. Now, it's entirely time for unsupported T2 Macs, I'm nearly running out of ideas on how to fix this AppleKeyStore issue when formatting a partition as APFS on unsupported T2 Macs. The PI field is mostly empty on Hackintoshes and non-T2 Macs, but I'm not sure whether filling everything in the PI field is necessary for T2 Macs or not; and if not, then I'm genuinely running out of ideas.

Hi Albert, may I please find out if the t2 oclp is supported for 2012 MacBook Pro (MacBookPro9,2)? also the YouTuber OMC showed us a T1 copy but cannot find it anywhere. Running macOS Tahoe 26.6.2 25G83 but oclp t2 could only choose 25G82. Could you please let me know of any information you may have? Also got an error in the patcher for the t2 I have uploaded the full log. Thank you, macfixer1

For the 2012 MacBook Pro, I think you will get no graphics acceleration, as Metal 3802 and non-Metal patches in PatcherSupportPkg are currently missing for Tahoe and are nonexistent. The same issue goes for 2013 MacBook Pro as well.

Hi Albert thank you for your reply, will keep this in mind! Hey by the way on your T2 OCLP release, is 2019 MacBook Pro 13 inch supported? my relative has one and is stuck on sequoia please let me know if all patches will be available.

Unsupported T2 Macs at the moment boot only the macOS 26 installer at the moment. I'm working to fix an issue where upon trying to boot Tahoe fully installed shows Needs authenticator (81) panic.

@albert-mueller I am reading a lot around T2 before I start the plan. I am also visiting family next few days so likely I will start writing it beginning of next week.

Bear in mind that I have MacBookPro16,2 and Macmini8,1 only. No other model. Not even a non-T2 system.
