First release of ill-communication, a UX writing skill for Claude. It removes the tells of AI-generated writing and brings real interface writing craft to everything Claude writes or reviews for you.

What's in the box

Two modes

  • Write mode, always on: everything Claude writes follows the rules
  • Review mode, point and run: "review this error message", "humanize this post", "check this flow"

Hard rules

  • No em dashes, ever. Each one rewritten case by case, without piling up commas
  • British English by default, switchable in one line
  • Regulated copy (disclosures, consent wording, legal text) gets flagged with suggestions, never silently rewritten
  • A final scan pass on everything before delivery

The references

  • ai-tells.md: the full pattern catalogue, from "delve" to rule-of-three to narrator-from-a-distance
  • microcopy.md: buttons, errors, empty states, forms, accessibility, localization, and dark pattern refusal
  • voice-profile.md: a fill-in template so rewrites sound like you, not like generic clean prose
