Local-first Gmail MCP — manage Gmail from Claude Desktop / Cursor with OAuth tokens stored only in your OS keychain. Nothing touches any server.

INSTALL (open-source build)

  • npx github:alexpekach/gmail-mcp-local (or download the zip below, unzip, run install.cmd / install.command)
  • Requires Node 20+ and your own Google Desktop OAuth client id/secret (see SETUP_LIVE.md). Restricted Gmail scopes mean your Google Cloud project must be in Testing (<=100 test users) or verified.

FOR VETTED TESTERS

  • A credentialed, turnkey build (no Google Cloud setup) is distributed privately by the vendor — ask for the link.
