Ha — "Nothing irks an EVE player more than losing all their settings" is painfully accurate. The idea of setting up one character as the template and applying it across all others is solid, especially for someone running 30+ characters. This one's a bit more involved to build right but it's on my radar. Not committing to 1.4.0 for this one specifically, but it's something I want to get to. The endpoint toggles and collapsed state are the easy part — the tricky bit is making sure it doesn't accidentally overwrite something you intentionally set differently on one character. Thanks for the idea and for using EveLens the way you do — the scale you're running at is exactly the kind of stress test that makes the app better. |

Re: the EVEWrench collab — yeah, game client settings backup is its own beast entirely. EVEWrench does that job well and I don't want to reinvent their wheel. Could we touch that space eventually? Maybe, but it's a different domain and not where I'd focus right now. The EveLens-side "apply my settings across all characters" idea though — that's solid and something I want to get right. Endpoint toggles, collapsed state, display preferences — one template character, apply to the rest. It's on the radar. Appreciate you being such an avid user and consistently throwing ideas our way. Even the wall-throwing ones tend to stick. Will look into expanding into other domains further down the line if there's demand, but for now keeping focus on making the core experience tighter for people running at your scale. |

Nothing irks an EVE Online player more than losing all of their settings. We back that shit up and we use various tooks like ENAM or EVEWrench to copy/pasta everything to each account to have all the settings, layouts, channels, popups, etc, all the same.
It would be handy for EVELens to have a similar option: Set up one character with all the selections/defaults you want, like collapsed/uncollapsed, and with selected ESI Endpoints like Clones, Assets, Mail, etc. Then just click a button and EVELens applies those same selections across all selected accounts already imported into EVELens so that all of them are the same.
I'm maybe just throwing ideas at the wall based on what would make my usage a lot easier, but maybe this would be something useful for everyone else, and it sorta kinda mirrors what we already do with EVEOnline. OFC if EVELens also backed up your EVE Settings and let you copy/pasta them, too, that would be cool. EVELens + EVEWrench collab when?
Thanks again for a great product!
