How does one clean uninstall Pearcleaner itself?

I downloaded the Pearcleaner-arm.zip and dropped it into my downloads folder, then I used it uninstall a program. After doing that, I wondered, how does one uninstall Pearcleaner itself?

So I CMD+Shift+Delete-ed PearCleaner.

As I simply deleted it I was sure it would leave breadcrumbs-

Now I wonder, how does one uninstall Pearcleaner as well? Clean-up Inception, I guess.

When you have Pearcleaner open, there's an uninstall option for Pearcleaner in the main menu.

I'm guessing you likely had the Sentinel trash monitor enabled in the general settings and was left running when you deleted the app. That's what watches files being moved to the trash and tries to open in Pearcleaner after.

You can either reinstall Pearcleaner and toggle the sentinel setting on,off.

Or try running these in terminal:

launchctl bootout gui/$(id -u)/com.alienator88.PearcleanerSentinel

pkill -f PearcleanerSentinel

If you would allow me one brief question in closing: Does Pearcleaner (Homebrew) delete all the associated files when deleting an app or are some files left behind?

It really depends on how the developer of the app named those files.
Since macOS has no system for linking files to the app that installed them, it's basically a guessing game by checking the file names/properties and see if they match the app in any way.
There's always going to be a chance of leftover files with any cleaner app in general. Unless Apple introduces a system that tracks installed files so it can allow us to do a full 100% clean delete.
