Installation & First Start
Queue Pop Notifier consists of two components:
- the Queue Pop Notifier add-on
- the Windows companion client
Both are required for smartphone notifications.
Install Queue Pop Notifier through CurseForge or manually in your World of Warcraft AddOns folder.
Make sure the add-on is enabled for the game version you are using:
- World of Warcraft Retail
- Mists of Pandaria Classic
After logging in, enter:
/qpn
to check whether the add-on is active.
Download the latest version of QueuePopNotifier.exe from:
No installation is required. The application can be started directly.
The Windows companion client is currently not digitally signed.
Because of this, Microsoft Defender SmartScreen may display a warning when the application is started for the first time.
This does not automatically mean that the application is malicious. Windows displays the warning because the executable does not currently have a trusted code-signing certificate.
For more information, see:
Open the client settings and configure one of the supported notification services:
- Pushover
- ntfy
- Telegram
Only one notification service can be active at a time.
After entering the required settings, use the built-in service test to verify that notifications reach your smartphone.
For detailed setup instructions, see:
Queue Pop Notifier detects a small visual signal generated by the WoW add-on.
For detection to work reliably:
- World of Warcraft must be running
- the game window must be visible
- the game must not be minimized
- the relevant area must not be fully covered by another window
In World of Warcraft, enter:
/qpn test
This tests the complete notification chain:

If the test notification does not reach your phone, see:
The Windows companion client can be configured to start automatically with Windows.
This is optional, but useful if you want Queue Pop Notifier to be ready whenever you start playing.
