Issue with "Started Earlier" populating a stopped time

Since updating to v25.12.1 I'm seeing an intermittent issue when using Started Earlier. It used to keep the task as active if there was nothing else entered between the start time and now. But it seems to auto-populate a stopped time sometimes now. This also means if I start another task earlier it doesn't stop the running task at the start time of the next task.

I rolled back to v25.06.1 and it's not occurring there.

I can reproduce it, but I cannot determine what broke it, or why it did work correctly in v25.0.6.1.

Fixed, and rolled a new version.

This was initially fixed in #586, but that introduced a new bug (#587). In #597 I tried again. I could not readily reproduce the bug in this issue anymore, unless I increased a local timeout. However, I felt relatively confident that said timeout was the problem, which was removed in #597. Let me know if this problem occurs again!
