App lock stops working after sometime

The app lock stops showing up on locked apps after sometime. Say maybe 12 hours or a day. Then I have to reopen the app to make it work again. I donno is it needs to be run in the background at all times or be allowed without battery optimisation.

In the new version, the app asks for battery optimisation itself. Also starts automatically on reboot. I'll check the functioning for a few more days. If that doesn't work, I'll switch the functioning to use accessibility service which is more resistant to aggressive system power saving mechanisms. That should fix these issues. I'll let you know when I do that.

I did as you said and now the app is crashing as soon as I open it and start scrolling through the app list. This only happens when I start scrolling through the app list and not when I use the settings page.

It's fixed now. Not crashing at all, but now the name of the package instead of the app name is being shown on the AppLock screen.

I'll close the issue after a day or two of testing.

The AppLock still seems to not work after sometime with the new build. It just stops showing up then I have to open the AppLock app again. I tested after 12 hours of gap between opening locked apps.

Can you tell what Android version you are on and who is the manufacturer?

I turned off the notification. I don't want it to be displayed all the time. I donno if that is causing it.
I am on Android 15 on Moto Razr 40 Ultra

Try going to Settings > Battery > Manage Background Apps > Always Allow > Add and choose App Lock. Also make sure that App Details > App Battery Usage > Allow Battery Usage is set to unrestricted. Also disable "Manage app if unused" so the system doesn't archive the app after long intervals of not opening it.

Edit: It stopped working right after I did all this and cleared it from recent apps. Now I can't get it to work again.

Can you try clearing app data and setting up again?

It's working again now, but I'm still facing #3 . And about it not working after sometime, I'll have to test it more to confirm.

It stopped working after a days of usage, it was working for the part it was active but after a certain amount of time, it just stopped showing up.
