Superseded by #1803: with b5e43e7 the root-npm-dependencies bump also regenerates this directory's package-lock.json, making #1803 a strict superset of this PR. Merging this PR alone leaves the workspace's electron version-consistency tests red (framework at 42 vs app at 43 — test_electron_functional.js), so the coordinated bump in #1803 is the only mergeable form.
