Release list
ReaFlex 3.7
This release is solely dedicated to adding the option to reassign the analysed pitch/formant reference by using the right click context menu on a note.
This is a tool to try to fix any badly analysed notes that are not matching their pitch.
ReaFlex 3.6
- Improved STFT pitch shifting, transferring periodic structure more completely onto the target harmonic grid.
- Improved formant-preserving pitch shifts, reducing the audible stationary/unison spectral layer.
- Added conservative source harmonic texture transfer to retain more original vocal grit and character when shifting.
- Improved STFT/fundamental energy balance across pitch shifts.
- Added double-click empty editor space to seek and start playback in REAPER.
- Changed default mousewheel behaviour to horizontal/time zoom, centred on the cursor.
ReaFlex 3.5
- Major STFT stability improvements, substantially reducing low-level spectral noise and wobble.
- Improved pitch-blip handling for cleaner, more stable note transitions.
- Rebalanced resynthesis, with lower oscillator contribution and greater STFT ownership for a more natural sound.
- Expanded analyser logging/export to support systematic analysis and refinement.
- Numerous stability, clip-alignment, persistence, and JSFX management fixes.
ReaFlex V3
ReaFlex Release 3 substantially revises the vocal resynthesis engine introduced in Release 2. The periodic path now uses a more carefully balanced hybrid of source-derived STFT reconstruction and a coherent oscillator scaffold, with oscillator contribution adapting to pitch-shift distance. STFT amplitude memory, sustained-note stabilization and interval-dependent reconstruction have also been added to reduce spectral wobble and the doubled-voice character that could become apparent during larger pitch corrections.
Source analysis has also been made less sensitive to recording level through analysis-only normalization, while quiet sources can receive controlled STFT support without altering their original playback dynamics. Release 3 additionally improves per-clip settings isolation, re-analysis behaviour and DSP state management, alongside workflow additions such as Reset to Defaults, Select All, and source-profile re-analysis using edited notes.
