Setup Instructions

Prerequisites

Ensure you have the following installed on your system:

  • Python 3.8 or higher
  • pip (Python package installer)
  • Virtualenv (optional but recommended)

Installation

  1. Clone the repository:

    git clone https://github.com/Hi-Tech-System-Services-Ltd/TorpedoDetectionApp_Hitech.git
  2. Navigate to the project directory:

    cd TorpedoDetectionApp_Hitech
  3. Create and activate a virtual environment:

    • Linux/macOS:
      python3 -m venv .venv
      source .venv/bin/activate
    • Windows:
      python -m venv .venv
      .venv\Scripts\activate
  4. Install dependencies:

    pip install -r requirements.txt

Running the Project

  1. Activate the virtual environment:

    .venv\Scripts\activate  # For Windows
    source .venv/bin/activate  # For Linux/macOS
  2. Run the application:

    python main.py

    The application will execute in an infinite loop as a system process.
