Unexpected error: Undefined constant "AmplitudeExperiment\VERSION"

I apologize for bothering you. We are using version 1.2.2, and after deploying to production (installed via Composer), we keep encountering an error:

Undefined constant "AmplitudeExperiment\VERSION"

This line causes the error:

        $libraryUser = $user->copyToBuilder()->library('experiment-php-server/' . VERSION)->build();

I cannot reproduce the error you saw with version 1.2.2.

Do you have a minimal reproducible example?
Please also post the stack trace (or partial stack trace).

The issue we're facing is a bit strange. The package is installed via Composer in our Symfony project. We tested it in the development and staging (pre-release) environments. Everything works perfectly.

But in the production environment, we get that error... which is really strange...

Our guess is that it might be related to opcache or Composer autoloading... but I have limited knowledge in that area. So we're asking here to get some help 🥺 Thank you very much again! 🙏 🙏 🙏

Yeah, that's really strange. We do explicitly load VERSION with require_once (autoloading should've handled it in most cases). Might be the ordering issue. I'll release a new version for you to try after the PR is merged.
