Lab‐2: Set up temporary DNS for Microshift Application

STEP-1 Find out the IPADDRESS of router pod in openshift-ingress namespace.
[student@servera ~]$ oc get pod -o wide -n openshift-ingress
STEP-2 Install dnsmasq package for DNS support.
[student@servera ~]$ sudo dnf install dnsmasq -y
STEP-3 Append following line to /etc/dnsmasq.conf.
[student@servera ~]$ sudo vim /etc/dnsmasq.conf
----OUTPUT OMITTED--------
address=/apps.example.com/IPADDRESS
STEP-4 Start and enable the service.
[student@servera ~]$ sudo systemctl enable dnsmasq.service --now
STEP-5 Add nameserver to /etc/resolv.conf(temporary in this case,if restarted, need to add again)
[student@servera ~]$ sudo sed -i '1i nameserver 127.0.0.1' /etc/resolv.conf
