This is the only release of the system.

In order to install, please use our Installer.exe file.

THE INSTALLER WILL ONLY WORK FOR WINDOWS, for other operating systems please use our source code.

NOTICE, this release does not include the server. For information on the server, go to our README.md file.

Installer Installation

In order to install with our installer, please double click on our installer. This will create a window. Press the Install button at the bottom of the window. The executable will be installed to C:\GreenHawks, however will automatically run on installation. When you execute the file, pin the executable to your task bar for easy access.

Manual Installation

To manually install the system, please download our source code. Open your terminal. (This can be done by searching terminal in your windows and mac start menu, or looking through the application f)Then type python into your terminal. This will bring you to the Microsoft Store, where you will be able to install python. From there, type pip install pyserial, pip install socket, and pip install cryptography.

Explanation of our installer

For any who are confused on the complexity of our installer, here is a step by step explanation of our installer.

• The Installer.exe file is compiled with PyInstaller, which means it exists in a frozen environment, and as such cannot directly call PyInstaller to install the python application.
• As such, the exe calls the installer_executer.ps1 file, which creates a new environment that is not frozen in your terminal.
• From there, the ps1 file calls the Installer.py file.
• The python file simply loads the python application, and calls PyInstaller to install the application as an executable.
