Amazon Loop Simulator 🎯
An AI-powered Bar Raiser interview simulator built with React and the Anthropic Claude API — designed to prepare candidates for Amazon's Leadership Principles behavioral interviews.
What is This? Amazon's interview process uses a Bar Raiser — a trained senior interviewer whose sole job is to evaluate whether a candidate raises the overall bar of the company. The Bar Raiser focuses exclusively on Leadership Principles and STAR-format behavioral responses. This simulator replicates that experience: Asks real Amazon-style behavioral questions mapped to Leadership Principles Evaluates STAR responses (Situation, Task, Action, Result) in real time Provides feedback on what a Bar Raiser would flag Tracks which Leadership Principles have been covered Pushes back with follow-up questions the way a real Bar Raiser would
Why I Built This I went through 5 rounds of Amazon Loop interviews for a Building Early Life-Cycle Project Manager role in Global Central RME (Real Estate & Maintenance Engineering) in April 2026. The preparation required mapping dozens of STAR stories to 16 Leadership Principles, anticipating Bar Raiser follow-ups, and practicing under realistic pressure. I built this tool to simulate that pressure — and to help other candidates do the same.
Leadership Principles Covered LP Focus Ownership Going beyond your role, taking responsibility for outcomes Highest Standards Raising the bar, never settling for "good enough" Dive Deep Data-driven decisions, staying connected to details Bias for Action Speed matters, calculated risks, not waiting for perfect info Invent and Simplify Finding simpler solutions, removing unnecessary complexity Customer Obsession Starting from the customer, working backwards Deliver Results Hitting commitments despite obstacles

How It Works Select which Leadership Principle to practice (or go random) The simulator asks a behavioral question in Amazon's style You type your STAR response Claude evaluates your answer: Is the Situation clear and specific? Is your Task/ownership defined? Are your Actions concrete and individual (not "we")? Is the Result measurable and quantified? Bar Raiser follow-up questions push you to go deeper Session summary shows which LPs you've covered and what to improve
