Low battery notifications every 3 minutes

How can I set the integration to just send notifications daily instead of every 3 minutes?

Hi, if it's one device doing this then you will probably want to switch on filter outliers (advanced options within the battery note for the device)

The google suggestion won't work at all.

Delete all your automations and add these two, the first will do the check at 8:30 every day, raising events that are picked up by the second which will create a persistent notification for low batteries ONLY at 8:30 when the first one is triggered, the value_template: "{{ trigger.event.data.reminder == true }}" line is what's important to do this.

So the combination of these 2 will send a notification email at 8:30 every morning until the low battery condition no longer exists?
I'm trying to understand the first automation? I don't see how it interacts with value_template: "{{ trigger.event.data.reminder == true }}"?

Also wondering how persistent_notification.dismiss works?

The first automation calls an action, the action looks through all Battery Notes devices and raises an event (with the reminder set to true) for any device that has a low battery. Think of this as just a scheduler for when you want notifications.

The second automation listens for the events raised, events can be raised at the time a particular devices battery goes low (reminder==false) or when your specifically called the action (reminder==true), or when a devices battery goes high (replaced/warmed up).
Since you want to know about low batteries only once a day, filter to reminder==true gives you just the ones that were scheduled.

When a persistent notification is raised it's given a notification_id which is calculated in the automation. If a device's battery goes high at any point (battery replaced), the second automation is called immediately and the condition high portion is run, this will again calculate a notification_id (which would be the same as above for a particular device) and try removing any notification that has that notification_id set.
This only works on persistent notifications, and certain things like Telegram. It would not work on email notifications.

So check_battery_low is baked into the battery notes integration and sets certain events if a battery is low? I think I understand better now, maybe😁.

That's correct, events are a more obscure and advanced part of HA but very useful when you get used to them.
