Unable to compress file size via Media3 Transformer

Thus far, I haven't been able to compress the size of a file using Media3 Transformer.

I want to note that I've implemented suggestions found in the following previously posted issues:

Using Media3 Transformer library, Want to get the video duration and size by passing the start and end Milliseconds Out of the complete video file. #1304

Changing BitRate of a Video does not compress it #1992

Media3 Transformer increases bitrate #1707

This includes changing the bitrate via setBitrate and switching to Constant Bitrate (CBR) mode. When using CBR, I'm actually not able to get the transformation to ever complete.

This occurs on my virtual Medium Phone API 34 emulator as well as my physical device which is a Samsung Galaxy S23+.

I still haven't been able to reduce the size of the final file. Do you all have any other suggestions as to how I can do so or something that may be missing?

Other than trying to compress the file size, are you performing any other operations (trim, effects etc)?
What is your input format? and output?

Here is my set up. The file that is being manipulated is an MP4 video. I only have the effect of 1080 for height. I copied a good bit as was suggested.

I also want to add my video file is 31.2 MB using transformer with the above code usage where typically, through FFMPEG, it may be 2, 3 MB at most.
