Dissecting Dropout Behavior in MOOCs

Among learners’ various behaviors in MOOCs, dropping out, i.e., failing to complete courses, is probably one of the most alarming yet intriguing. Researchers around the world have been approaching the dropout phenomenon from numerous perspectives, and in this report, I will consider all of them with the aim of better explaining dropouts. Who drops out? When do they drop out? And most importantly, what leads to dropout?
