The dev-cycle is established in the following way: main stays on release and all development is done in development. Only severe bugs, i.e. measurement breaking bugs, will be pushed into main as well. We aim to release a new version every 2-3 months to avoid too much divergence. Everyone interested in the newest features or testing has to pull from development and live with possible bugs, while all people who want to have the most stable experience have to pull from main (which is equivalent to the PyPI version).
