ng-model not working correctly in Modal controller

I tried to leverage ng-model to bind an input with the variable defined in the modal controller, however the binding seems not working bi-directionally.

As you can click one of the buttons to open a modal and then change the value of the input. Click OK button to see the $scope.testText hasn't changed as expected.

As the author said: this is due to a transclusion scope that exists between your controller and the modal template.
