readonly doesn't appear to work

When we try to use <div ui-ace readonly="true"></div>, the editor doesn't become read-only. I think it may have something to do with the fact that the browser renders readonly="true" as just readonly, and if you only include the readonly attribute itself in the Plunker example, it doesn't work either. The ="true" part is mandatory but you can't get that to show up in the source (at least not in Chrome stable).

Just as some additional information, this is with ui-ace version 0.1.1 and angular version 1.2.26
