Page reload detected during async script

Running protractor on Windows 8.1. I am able to run successful tests in Chrome and Firefox, but in IE I get the following error.

Uncaught exception: Error while running testForAngular: Page reload detected during async script

Protractor v 1.3.1
Selenium standalone is up to date
chromedriver is up to date
IEDriver is up to date

This usually means that there was a redirect during navigation to your page. We should probably add better docs around debugging this, as the question has come up a couple times.
