Tool calls not working

Question

I have been using opencode for nearly a month and the experience has been good so far. Recently, tool calls to read and write files were working perfectly fine for the models that I have been using for the past 2-3 weeks, but they have stopped as of the last few days and its quite frustrating. I have to mention that the same tool call works with other models. The model that i was using earlier is Xiaomi MiMo via OpenRouter and it was working perfectly fine until a few days back. If I use the same prompt using DeepSeek 3.2 via OpenRouter it works. Can someone help me here.

I have used the same Xiaomi MiMo via OpenRouter in another AI Agent TUI and it works perfectly fine.

How are you calling opencode? I found calling opencode . would cause it to not write files, even though it said it did write said files. Some times it would just fail with some json(ish) looking response. Starting it with just opencode, everything works about as expected. I have been trying to see how folks call it but no one ever shows that and I am wondering if the "path" part might be the cause of the issue.
