Remote server paths are broken since 1.2.25

Description

I connected to a remote server (Linux) from the OpenCode Desktop app on Windows. When I try to open a new project, I see Windows (local) paths instead of Linux (remote) paths.

The problem has been occurring since OpenCode Desktop 1.2.25.

Steps to reproduce

1. Launch OpenCode server on remote machine with Linux: opencode web --hostname "0.0.0.0" --port 4096.
2. Launch OpenCode Desktop on Windows and connect to the remote server.
3. Click "Open Project" and type "/".

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

If your issue is distinct (specifically the "Open Project" dialog showing wrong paths in the Desktop app since 1.2.25), it may still be worth cross-referencing these for context.

Perhaps regular work with a remote server is not the most popular use case.

However, this issue also makes it impossible to work properly on OpenCode Desktop connected to OpenCode Server on WSL, wrapped in a Docker container. Other options (Web, TUI) are unsuitable because some functionality is broken or missing there and using OpenCode Desktop is the best choice (at least for me).

Confirming that this is happening since 1.2.25, it has become impossible to use this setup (Desktop App on Windows, server on Linux).

Just wanted to add that it seems to be an issue with the Desktop App on Windows, not with the server part. I noticed the problem when I updated both ends to 1.2.25, and have since reverted to 1.2.24, but I've noticed that updating the server part doesn't cause the issue.

So 1.2.27 on the server with 1.1.24 on the Desktop App works correctly. The changes in the Desktop App on 1.2.25 are what's breaking stuff.

Created a PR which seems to fix this issue.

This was addressed on #17211 and fixed on PR 17214.

It's now fixed on OpenCode version 1.3.0.

I think this issue can be closed.

I think that fix works for the TUI, but not the GUI, @jsribeiro 🤔

At least for me with 1.3.0, the GUI keeps the same "project icons (from my local machine)" when I switch to my remote server. Nothing happens when I click on them. And if I click the + button, I can only select local folders

Weird, I'm using only the GUI (desktop app) on Windows, not the TUI, and it works fine now. I can click the + button and see the remote (Linux) folders, with autocomplete and everything, and select remote folders.

Everything else also seems to work (terminal, remote file browser tab, etc.).

This was not the case with versions 1.2.25 to 1.2.27.

@jsribeiro ok, let’s see how our setups differ… I’m using the GUI app on macOS, not Windows. I run opencode serve (also v1.3.0) on a Linux machine and connect to it by adding that server hostname using the server button in the top right section of the GUI. Same-ish for you?

Yes, the difference is I'm using the OpenCode Desktop app on Windows, not macOS.

I mentioned 1.3.0 fixed the issue as the issue mentioned Windows 11.

I'm using opencode serve v1.3.0 on Fedora 43.
