"opencode session list" doesn't list all sessions.

Description

I have a session named Foo active.

In another terminal, I run "opencode session list". Foo is nowhere to be found, nor is the associated session ID.

Yet, I can quit the Foo session and resume it with the commandline printed out after exit, i.e "opencode -s sess_......".

Steps to reproduce

1. Do work in a lot of sessions so the sessions list is big
2. Keep a couple of sessions active i.e. where opencode wasn't exited
3. Rename these sesssions
4. In a terminal, run opencode session list
5. Try finding your active sessions either by name or session id.
6. Session not found.

NOTE: Only some sessions are missing. No idea why.

Silly question: Did you make sure you started the TUI/CLI in the same workspace/directory? Sessions are bound to that directory (unless you use the new feature of "Warp Change the workspace for the session"). You can check what workspace/directory (and branch/worktree) is being used by checking the bottom right in the TUI.

Also make sure both TUIs are using the same sqlite database (which is holding the sessions) usally at ~/.local/share/opencode/opencode.db thats were you can check if the session with id sess_xxx is actually in the session table.

Oh I had no idea sessions were coupled to path. Thank you for the info. That’s not really how I use (or want to) use OpenCode. I check out code and work with projects in different dirs rather than using git worktree. Also, not all of the stuff I do has/needs git. I had the very same first impression and wish to work from "anywhere" and magically have a global session state. However, now it's no real issue (but might just be me having adjusted). You don't have to have a session exactly where your .git dir is located but works best. Opencode is pretty good at finding and prepping and reading and working in any subpaths of a project (even large monorepos).

Worktrees are amazing for when you want to work on multiple features at once.

There are some neat dashboards and other wrappers for opencode available you might want to check out. This helps finding your sessions and keeping track of all your agents ^^

Leads me to a related question, eve though this can be closed as not-a-bug:

Is there a tool that lists all known path mappings?
I'm not super-structured, so I can't remember (or truthfully, can't be bothered to remember - know the name of the session!) the exact locations of where I start sessions.

Something like opencode session list --paths would also be sweet, as a sectionized or tree-view.
But I'd be happy to just get the paths. I could work some bash to get the above for me, in that case.

Interestingly enough, my experience is a bit different. First of all I would also like to get a list of all sessions, directory agnostic, inside the app itself. But my experience is:

Running /sessions inside opencode

Gets me a list of all sessions for that specific directory.

Running opencode session list

Gets me a list of directory agnostic sessions. But I can't tell if these are all of my sessions. I doubt.
