error 429 when using Kimi for Coding

Description

OpenCode for Desktop (MacOS M3) - When using the Kimi for Coding model (by entering the API key from Kimi Code), I get an error almost every time: "The engine is currently overloaded, please try again later" However, if I add a custom provider by entering this key and the Base url from Kimi Code, everything works fine. Either you have incorrect routes, or something is causing a bug by sending too many requests to Kimi Code, which slows them down.

If your issue is specifically about using your own Kimi API key (BYOK) rather than OpenCode Go, it may be a distinct bug — please clarify in the issue if so.

I've encountered the same issue. Since May 12, Kimi has been returning 429 errors frequently in OpenCode, but neither the web interface nor Hermes has experienced similar problems.

Same here, too many 429, and too easily to achieve. Must be a bug

I use "opencode run" and under the same session, kimi just run for one tool, then rate_limit

i thing its bug, coz i need edit config file for working in "Kimi For Coding". It seems like I should either remove this provider from the list in OpenCode or replace User-Agent with Kimi KLI by default. Because without manually adding it to the configuration, it simply won't work. Here's what I added to the configuration to get it working without limits again:
