Big Pickle not working.

Description

After upgrading from version 1.14 to 1.15.4, the Big Pickle model stopped working and started throwing the error: Model big-pickle not supported for format anthropic. However, DeepSeek is working without any issues. This seems to be a formatting mapping bug introduced in the latest 1.15.4 update.

Confirmed same regression on v1.15.3.

Environment:

• OS: Arch Linux
• Terminal: kitty 0.46.2
• opencode: 1.15.3

The request hits /zen/v1/messages (Anthropic Messages format) but should hit /zen/v1/chat/completions (OpenAI-compat).

Broken: opencode/big-pickle

Suspect: PR #28077 changed models.dev snapshot loading from bundled models-snapshot.js to build-time OPENCODE_MODELS_DEV injection. models.dev config for big-pickle specifies npm=@ai-sdk/anthropic, which routes it to the Anthropic format handler instead of the OpenAI-compat path it actually needs.

And it's not the users' problem. You can do nothing because it's open source, they must have broken something on their end. Mine just completely crashed about two or an hour and a half ago, and it's not working anymore. It also didn't work for me. qwen 3.6 plus and Matron 3 are great, and now everything's slowly recovering, but Big Pickle doesn't work, it's just lying there like dead weight, so they have to fix it on their end. It died almost two hours ago, and no one has fixed it yet. And the models started working worse about three hours ago, so it's not your problem at all, nor mine.

Well, I don't know if I should complain. I wasn't complaining. Speaking about me personally, I'm not complaining about anything. It was just working reliably for me for a week and a half, when I first started using it in Open Code. And then something happened that practically killed everything.
