Free usage limit

Question

On Opencode Desktop, I can use all the free models without any warning about reaching the limit, but on Opencode CLI, any models I use shows the warning. Could you explain how this works?

I accessed those issues, but my question remains: the problem encountered by my colleagues occurred in the CLI.

I use the same models in Opencode Desktop, but in the CLI I get a "limit exceeded" message. I'd like to understand how this limit is calculated.

I've been dealing with this issue for 3 days. I just came across this response from one of the devs. Looks like the free usage meter is based on opencode's capacity, not per user.

free usage is dynamic, we are always shifting based off what capacity we have vs demand
