Unclear how to change default editor from /editor slash command

Basically, I'm on Linux and the /editor command opens up Nano for me (ew nano) and I'm trying to get it to use Neovim instead, or even VSCode or smth, but can't find anything in the docs.

Would appreciate any clarity on this.

You have to set your env variable for your desktop environment as EDITOR=nvim. This will enable neovim to be the default editor. Check how to add the env variable in your distro. This should do the trick.
