Release Summary

This is a major release of the cisco.nxos collection.
This changelog contains all changes to the modules and plugins in this collection
that have been made after the previous release.

Breaking Changes / Porting Guide

  • nxos_l2_interfaces - Port-channel member interfaces are now excluded from gathered, parsed, and overridden/deleted states. Attempting to configure L2 settings directly on a port-channel member via merged, replaced, or deleted (with explicit config) states will now raise an error. Apply L2 configuration on the port-channel interface instead.

Bugfixes

  • nxos_bgp_global - Generate no bfd, no bfd singlehop, and no bfd multihop when bfd.set, bfd.singlehop, or bfd.multihop.set is false for BGP neighbors (#1073).
  • nxos_bgp_global - Update nxos_bgp_global to add prefix to template peer* sections as to avoid issues during facts gathering. BGP related templates are handled in nxos_bgp_template module.
  • nxos_l2_interfaces - Skip port-channel member interfaces during facts gathering and command generation. Member interfaces inherit L2 config from the port-channel and cannot be configured directly.
