[BUG] Terminal output is reprinted repeatedly

  • Anthropic API
  • AWS Bedrock
  • Google Vertex AI
  • Other:
• Claude CLI version: 0.2.70 (Claude Code)
• Operating System: macOS 15.1
• Terminal: both iTerm2 and integrated Cursor terminal

Bug Description

When Claude Code updates the terminal screen it doesn't clear the previous output. It only prints the new output below it.

Steps to Reproduce

Give a task to Claude Code and scroll up in the terminal.

Expected Behavior

I'd expect the previous output to be cleared like it was in previous Claude Code versions.

@wolffiex 😆 kinda hard to test that given 0.2.71 is not npm. Did it get yanked?
