When a skill is moved, will that result in duplicate installations

Say I move a skill (without renaming it) to a different directory within a repo or to a different repo entirely, will that cause the moved skill to be installed separately from the original skill. Also, how might this affect the metrics that are shown on skill usage dashboards like skills.sh ?
