Issue/feature/question: how to use entity_picture

Hi, I am using a UMP and would like to show a more vibrant picture when using a device that has no entity_picture, e.g. my denon receiver when it is not using a source without pictures.
What I did was to customize that media_player with a local picture but on the display it cuts of a lot.
Example:
customize.yaml

media_player.denon_avc_x3800h:
    entity_picture: /local/pictures/denon.png
    picture: /local/pictures/denon.png

The picture itself is the Denon logo and straightforward rectuangular

I tried to change the dimensions height vs width but it keeps cutting it off.
Any suggestions?

I didn't know you could override the picture with ump. Very cool.
Is the picture perfectly square? If not try to edit it to be.

On a related note, somewhere else I requested to be able to remove the top part in the multi-card (showing above: Denon AVC-etc.)
I agree that this may not be a ootb feature so I 'fixed' that with card_mod

Really happy with your card(s)... also on mobile they screen-align nicely !!

Yeah im afraid that's just regular browser image caching. I'm not doing anything there :)
But the 1:1 aspect ratio fixed it?

redid some tests and yes...the picture needs to be of proper aspect ratio, a more square one fits fine.

I'll try to add a stable id for you to use with card-mod when I get some time. Those css classes change when new updates release.

Hi, when you find the time ... can you then please also add a stable id for the card background? I like it to be 'none' and assume now that also this one is not stable. If you want me to open another feature ticket...let me know :)

I've added the stable id for the header. (https://github.com/antontanderup/mediocre-hass-media-player-cards/pull/318/files)

If you define that variable for card it overrides that color when used in the card.
I'll release a new beta in 10 minutes with the change :)

You shouldn't even need the !important there. The --mmpc-card variable takes first priority and I've not defined it anywhere specifically so that it's dead simple to override
