Feature Request - Complete colored card with gradient transparency like default media-control

Hello @antontanderup,

yet another feature request 😬 (sorry for spaming you): I love your card and especially the Use album art colors option. Would it be maybe possible, to colorize the complete card, similar to what the HA default media-control-Card has (see at the pictures). I feel, that the media-control-Card just takes the mean color and has this on top of the cover with a gradient transparency going down left to right, so that the cover which is on the right side there is looking through the transparency. Also the font color then has to be taken care of. There seems to be a threshold value by when it switches from pure black to some light grey, so that readability is ensured.

The option could be named Gradient color backgroundor such and would be just an additional layer.

This would be the cherry on top / the finishing touch.

In case there are any questions, just get back to me, i am very willing to support (with my restricted possibilities)

Have you tried the beta? Colors have had a major overhaul in there.

i have now downloaded the beta, but i can't see fading. Is there any Option i have to specify?

It's very dependent on the theme how aggressive the colors are. Basically the card takes the hue from the art, and mixes with the lightness and saturation from your theme. So if your theme is desaturated and very bright, you might not see much of an effect other than the volume slider.
But to your question, there is no option for a fading style like on the default media player card.

@antontanderup I downloaded the beta, could you advise how to override the background colors? Im using the panel mode and there is a transparent gradient background that i'd like to remove or replace with a solid color if possible. Also, the ability to make everything not so squished together in panel mode, id like to let it expand to the neds of the screen (without making it taller)

That color is the home assistant color variable for the header. Basically it makes the header blend in so there's not a sharp border.

Massive has a max width which is why it's not stretching. I don't think there's an easy way to override it right now. Maybe with card-mod.
(It was made for smart phones primarily)
