I love learning and am constantly looking for ways to grow my current skillset. I have been deeply entrenched in the intersection of Data Science and the Biology/Healthcare, highlighted by my work at Biointerphase in collaboration with Break Through Tech AI @ MIT, but I've also explored and would love to continue exploring the intersection of Data Science and Finance, as seen in my most recent experience as a Business Systems Analyst and Data Engineer Co-op at Bain Capital. What We Did: Preprocessed and normalized ocean and shallow water data from BioGeoChemical Argos floats and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration using numpy and pandas then built two decision tree models to augment our dataset and to predict likelihood and location of Harmful Algae Blooms.
Tools: Python, scikit-learn, numpy, pandas
Result: 0.77 R^2, outperforming the initial models 3x over, and provided insights that helped guide data-driven improvements in preventing and rectifying instances of Harmful Algae Blooms.
