SOLIDUI MENU: selected menu item not updating after app bar nav

Describe the Bug

In notepod and perhaps other apps, we include nav menu pages in the app bar action icons. However, when I nav to a page from the app bar, the selected menu page does not change.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Login to notepod, defaults to MYNOTES list
2. Use the app bar, to nav to SHAREDNOTES. The selected menu item is still on MYNOTES and ideally should have updated to SHAREDNOTES. Navigation works fine, just the selected menu item is not updating after clicking an app icon that is a shortcut button to that menu item.

Expected Behaviour

When I nav to a page that is in the nav menu (even when I use the app bar icons), I expect the selected menu item to update.
