MacPad is a small native macOS plain-text editor modeled after Windows Notepad. The goal is simple: fast plain-text editing, familiar basics, multiple windows/tabs, and a small app surface.

For reproducible bugs, please open an Issue so the report can be tracked clearly.

For code or documentation changes, focused pull requests are welcome. Please keep changes small and explain why they belong in the lightweight MacPad app.

MacPad intentionally stays plain and Notepad-like. Ideas around extensions, themes, language-aware editing, plugins, Markdown workflows, or project-style behavior probably fit better in MacPad Pro:
