Introduction - Het, BITS Goa student interested in SIMD Kernels

Hello everyone, I'm Het, a first-year EEE student from BITS Goa. I'm very interested in high-performance computing and memory-efficient data structures. I've successfully set up the Arrow C++ development environment on native Ubuntu with AVX2 support. I've been exploring the arrow/compute/kernels and am particularly interested in the GSoC project regarding SIMD optimization for compute kernels. I have a solid foundation in C++ and understand hardware-level optimizations like memory alignment and register usage. Excited to contribute and learn from the community.

Hi @het1803 , I don't think the Arrow project is participating in the Google summer of code. That said, we welcome all contributions. Feel free to ask any questions!
