This commit will allow for the following tests to run against C* 1.2.x: async, basics, by_name, collections, outage, paging, stress, and version1. The basics test suite was also enhanced to perform simple statement queries for all data types. Tests that also are not applicable to a particular C* instance can now be skipped without starting up a cluster (e.g. basics and serial consistency tests are skipped on C* 1.2.x). Minor cleanup along with a memory leak was also addressed.
