Change Feed for Views?

I'm sure this feature has often been requested. However, I couldn't find an issue for it here.

I would like to request a new feature to allow listening to changes to a view.

Right now we fake this by polling the database which is not a scalable solution...

Unfortunately, this is not going to happen. For a detailed technical explanation as to why, see #592 and #831, and this mailing list thread.

The good news is that you CAN achieve what you're trying to do without polling the database. The current recommendation for this functionality is to use a Mango selector as a filter on the _changes feed, which will run significantly faster than the equivalent JavaScript _changes feed filter.
