ZooKeeper Removal
Fluss currently utilizes ZooKeeper for cluster coordination, metadata storage, and cluster configuration management. In upcoming releases, ZooKeeper will be replaced by KvStore for metadata storage and Raft for cluster coordination and ensuring consistency. This transition aims to streamline operations and enhance system reliability.

Fluss has not replaced zk by KvStore yet, we can support zk's digest authentication.

Solution

Add conf zookeeper.client.auth.digest

Hi @beryllw, thank you for opening this issue. Could you please clarify the purpose or use case behind this request? We've already added support for the zookeeper.client.config-path option, which allows users to specify a ZooKeeper config file.

I'm not sure whether this existing configuration already covers the functionality you're proposing.

@beryllw , I have tried it before, even without zookeeper.client.config-path option, we can also use zk digest auth with -Djava.security.auth.login.config jvm options.
zookeeper.client.config-path option will support more convinient .

You remaind me that document is lack now. I am working on security document in #793. This will be added also.
