Allow Get variables etc. to reference fields/data rows from more than just one level above. Even 2 levels would be welcome. It is time consuming passing them down and maintaining them.

According to my notes:
Fields, parameters, and variables implicitly are available downstream if in scope. You can pass them again any number of levels, but the "get parameters/variables" button only retrieves from one level above.

I would suggest to define parameters more consistently in your pipelines and workflows. The explicit nature of parameters makes it easy to always have them be known by their parents.
