[Feature Request]: improve CheckBoxVar layout

What would you like to happen?

The CheckBoxVar enabled fields allow the use of variables to set the value for a checkbox, but that option is almost invisible. There's not $ indication for variable support, and the text field is close to invisible. A variable indicator would already be a big help there.

The variable indicator already exists, but it is not obvious that a variable can be placed there.

We can simply add a message as in the search box and a tooltip.
