Split Brain Handling

Infinispan supports several healing strategies and provides an API to implement custom merging policies.

This is not supported in Ingite.

Is there an extension point (e.g. an interface) or something similar available to implement automated merging?

Hello @fbutter,

There are two extension points as follows:

• TopologyValidator Topology validator is used to verify that cluster topology is valid for further cache operations.
• SegmentationResolver This is interface for segmentation (a.k.a "split-brain" problem) resolvers.

Perhaps the following link https://www.gridgain.com/docs/latest/administrators-guide/split-brain will be helpful also.

However, both of these points are about detecting that split-brain occurred, and recovering from split-brain may require some manual steps. There is no mechanism/interface/extension point that allows doing it in an automated way, unfortunately.
