Release Proposal For Apache Kvrocks 2.16.0

It has been about 4 months since the last release v2.15.0, with numerous new features and fixes merged into the unstable branch. I am now proposing the next release, version 2.16.0.

All commits on the unstable branch until f7ea9b2 will be included in this release. Hash Field Expiration (HFE) is unstable and will be excluded from this release.

The deadline for the cherry-picking period has been set as Jun 16, 2026, at 10:00 UTC+0. No new commits will be accepted after this time.

Hash Field Expiration (HFE) is unstable and will be excluded from this release.

Details about this:

• All HFE commands will be excluded.
• Two newly added config options will be excluded from kvrocks.conf and configuration parsing.
• The data structures and metadata changes will be included.
