All Tabs are not Showing in Superset When Alerts are Sent

We are in the process of migrating to Superset, we have dashboards with multiple tabs, but when we send it via notification, we don't see all the tabs.

This is a known design limitation in Superset's alert/report screenshot system. By default, only the active (first) tab is captured when a report renders a dashboard — the same behavior applies to manual PDF/image exports as well [1].

The ALERT_REPORT_TABS feature flag enables per-tab screenshot support. When enabled, you can configure a report to capture specific tabs (one screenshot per tab). This works through the extra.dashboard field on the report schedule, where you specify tab IDs via the anchor field. When anchor is a JSON-encoded list of tab IDs, Superset generates a separate permalink per tab and sends multiple screenshots [2].

To enable this:

1. Add the feature flag in your superset_config.py:

   FEATURE_FLAGS = {
       "ALERT_REPORTS": True,
       "ALERT_REPORT_TABS": True,
   }

2. When creating or editing the alert/report schedule, you should then be able to select which tab(s) to include in the notification.

Caveat: There is currently no built-in option to automatically include all tabs in a single screenshot. You need to explicitly specify which tabs you want. A feature request to automatically include all tabs exists but hasn't been merged yet [1].
