req_modify() and req_prepare() lacked direct support for setting request headers and cookies, requiring callers to chain additional httr2 calls manually.

Changes

  • New parameters — header and cookie (both list | NULL) added to req_modify() and req_prepare(); req_prepare() passes them through to req_modify()
  • Helpers — .req_cookies_flatten() added (mirroring the existing .req_query_flatten() pattern: discard NULL entries, then inject into httr2::req_cookies_set()); headers are applied directly via httr2::req_headers() without stripping NULL values, so a NULL-valued header explicitly removes that header if previously set
  • Docs — header and cookie documented in R/aaa-shared_params.R and inherited via @inheritParams .shared-params
  • Tests — tests/testthat/test-req_modify.R added with 100% file-level coverage for R/req_modify.R

Remove .req_headers_flatten() and don't remove NULL headers before passing them along. In httr2::req_headers(), headers with a NULL value are explicitly removed (if something else has set them), so we actually want to keep any NULL values that are passed, in case the user is explicitly trying to remove a header from something upstream. httr2 will deal with improperly empty values.

Done in 414ee7d. Removed .req_headers_flatten() and now call httr2::req_headers() directly in req_modify() without stripping NULLs — NULL-valued entries are passed through so httr2 can use them to remove previously-set headers. Updated the header parameter docs to reflect this semantics.
