container.wait() do not block

Trying to use the conatiner.wait api to block until the container exits but it returns right away. Any idea what's wrong:

Are you waiting for the callback or promise correctly?

for me I have to do soemething like

... createContainer({...})  .then(async function (container) {
        auxContainer = container;
       ....
        await auxContainer.start();
        //Block until a container stops, then returns the exit code.
        return await auxContainer.wait();
      })
