[Request]: Build bootc containers, and run bootc containers in a vm

The Bootable Containers project that was donated to CNCF last year is a very interesting approach to building Linux VMs. Is building and running those bootc images on the container roadmap?

Fedora and Universal Blue have been doing great things with them and being able to develop locally on a Mac would be a great addition.

Where container is doing the equivalent of --rootfs ext4 --type raw, instead of the default --type qcow2 (qemu)

Note: the kernel is hidden in the kernel modules directory in the image, not under /boot

/usr/lib/modules/$kver/vmlinuz (any initrd, in /usr/lib/modules/$kver/initramfs.img)

This is not on the roadmap but you should be able to leverage the project to build these types of vm images. We also have great swift packages in the containerization repository for creating an ext4 filesystem from an OCI image.
